ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Kavita is an alumna of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (India), where she won the Best Graduation Collection Award from 1987 to 1989. Before this, she was the top performer at Sophia Polytechnique from 1985 to 1987. With over 35 years of experience in the fashion industry, she has exhibited and sold her creations at prestigious multi-designer stores and exhibitions. She customises styles to harmonise with individual proportions.

The Kavita D brand is known for its signature delicate hand embroidery, tonal beading, and thread work. Traditional Lucknow chikankari and Banaras Indian weaves are artfully combined with contemporary elements, offering a balance between heritage and innovation. Inspired by art deco symmetry and architectural grandeur, Kavita D designs carry a subtle international appeal while staying deeply rooted in Indian craftsmanship.
